Delhi Police organized “Cyber and Insurance Fraud Workshop Programme” in Outer District, for the police officers of this District from 04.08.2020 to 07.08.2020 and 250 police Officers joined this Programme. This Course is organized in Outer district with the approval of  Ms. Shalini Singh, IPS Jt. Commissioner of police, Western range. All Covid related Precautions were taken.

This course was inaugurated by Shri Anand Kumar Sharma, Addl Dy  Commissioner of police, Outer District, Delhi. This course was organized by ICICI Prudential Life insurance Company, Sh. Himanshu Sharma (Senior Manager) where in ACP Ved Bhushan Delhi Police (Rtd.) also delivered lectures regarding criminal breach of trust, Cheating, Fraud, Forgery, Spurious calls, criminal conspiracy and IT Act.

Crime in Insurance sector is increasing day by day during covid-19 it’s a white collar crime and needs special type of investigation as it’s different from other type of crime. Insurance sector is a big attraction for white collar criminal’s especially young boys/girls. Lots of call centres were busted across India apart from Delhi/NCR engaging in suspicious call. Several gangs operating in insurance were also apprehended by police.
